September 2024 Admissions to Year 7
Our open evening for admissions to Year 7 in September 2024 was on 14 September 2023 at 6pm.
Applications for places in Year 7 should have been made by 31 October 2023 via Dorset Council: Starting secondary or upper school – Dorset Council. You should read a Parents’ Guide and ensure you are aware of the information they require and the offer date in March.
If you have missed the first deadline for applications, please contact Dorset School Admissions to find out how to make a late application.
If you are offered a place in March, or in the late allocations following your application, we have a comprehensive induction package in place to ensure your child understands our expectations and has a smooth start to their secondary education. We will communicate that process with you throughout the Spring and Summer Terms so you and your child are ready for September. We very much look forward to welcoming a new cohort of pupils and their parents and carers in September 2024.
Moving to an already established Year Group
If you wish to apply for a place for your child during any current academic year (so for places other than the primary to secondary admission process) you will need to make application via Dorset Council Moving school during the school year (in year admissions) – Dorset Council
Admissions Policy – Denominational Criteria (Faith)
If in either case above you feel you/your child meet the denominational criteria (see the relevant Admissions Policy on these admissions pages) please complete a Supplementary Form (available on these admission pages) and follow the instructions thereon.
