Reporting to Parents
We believe that in order to empower you as parents to fully support your son and daughter's educational journey it is key that we share important information with you in a way that enables you to be well informed and able to discuss our students learning with them.
Information will be shared with you, as parents in a range of ways, including;
-
Online Information available 24/7. The Arbor App and ClassCharts App will provide you with information about your son/daughter's engagement in learning through sharing their;
- attendance,
- punctuality,
- positive behaviour logs and negative behaviour logs.
As a parent you can access this information any day at a time to suit you. Should you need your login/password reset for either Arbor Parent App or Class charts please contact the Main Office.
-
Parents Evenings are subject based evenings and provide you with an opportunity for you to meet with your son or daughter's class teacher to discuss their progress and attainment. There will be one of these for each year group each year.
-
Special Year Group Parents Evenings will take place in addition to the Subject Parents evenings for Year 11 (Parental Support Meeting), Year 9 (Options Evening), Year 7 (Meet the Tutor Evening).
-
Mid Year Reports - We will provide a Mid Year Attainment Report. This will clearly tell you how well your child is engaging in each subject, learning in each subject, their target grade and their most recent assessment grade. From these where there are concerns we will identify the need for an additional conversation or meeting between you as parent and your child’s subject teacher.
-
End of Year Reports - We will provide an End of Year Attainment Report. This will clearly tell you how well your child is engaging in each subject, learning in each subject, their target grade and their end of year grade. This will be based on a culmination of their learning across the year. From these where there are concerns we will identify the need for an additional conversation or meeting between you as parent and your child’s subject teacher.
